Tribute to 'Daffodils in the Dark'
Inspired by nocturnal Texan daffodils, which in turn was informed by diurnal Somerset crocuses, I present to you Nocturnal Somerset Daffodils:
Impressive, non? When you've finished revelling in their seasonal exuberance, here's a less impressively lit version (although it does show off the two-tone interplay in my scarf rather well):
Improvising on a theme of darkness (although really I just want an excuse to show you another of the many thousands of emotions that can subtly play across my facial muscles when in front of the lens), here's one of me looking petrified in a cave under Cheddar Gorge:
All an act you understand.

Pancake v. Plasticine
To join in with the spirit of things I got a few friends and ex-cons around for a seasonal bite. We went with the U.S. pancake type as they were easier to flip in the pan and lemon juice (nasty acidic fluid) wasn't a prerequisite. Green Man looks a little nauseous but I think that's just his normal expression (or over doing it on the sloe gin). Mr Potato stumbled on us since the party was in his neck of the woods. He was going to leave but then saw the camera and got a bit rooted. I think it was his debutante excitement at being in a photoshoot. A winning smile though.
They allegedly tasted excellent although the elephant in the room with no opposable thumbs prevented more conventional taste testing. Here's to next year's Shrove Mardi!

Risky
Weighing in at a stunning 62g, MM didn't request specific flour type for pizza dough, so taking a risk with the wholemeal option. Wish him luck.

Room with a view
Scenic views of Wembley Stadium and Olympic preparations from the second hotel of the trip. The photographer scampered off to the West End of London without me last night. None too pleased.

MM's first business trip
Nothing like a work trip to experience the beating heart of a country. Or in this case Bedford. Which is living up to its name with an excellent choice of soft and firm pillows.
